Big Island police have arrested 43-year-old Robert Kanuela Tanoai of Kailua-Kona, who was wanted on an arrest warrant.

Tanoai —also known as “Boomer”— turned himself in at the Kona police station at 7:10 a.m. Tuesday (June 12).

He was arrested and charged with unlawful imprisonment, terroristic threatening and two counts of assault. He is being held at the Kona police cellblock in lieu of $100,000 bail pending his initial court appearance scheduled for Wednesday (June 13).
