Senior citizen pedestrian safety classes offered 07-17-02

MEDIA RELEASE

The police will hold pedestrian safety classes — one in Hilo and the other in Kona — for senior citizens.

The classes are designed to make walking safer for Big Island senior citizens.

On Monday, July 29, 2002, police will hold a class from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Training Room of the Hilo police station on Kapiolani Street. The training room is located on the bottom floor of the main police building.

The next day (Tuesday, July 30, 2002), a training class will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Kona police station in Kealakehe.
