Arrested for Murder

MEDIA RELEASE

Hilo Police have identified the victims in the two stabbings that occurred at a residence in the Ainaloa Subdivision in Puna on June 11, 2007.

Tyran VESPERAS-SANIATAN, M-14, of Hilo, was pronounced dead at the Hilo Medical Center on June 11, 2007, (Monday), at 5:20 p.m.

The exact cause of death is unknown pending an autopsy scheduled for June 13, 2007, (Wednesday).

Cheryl-Lyn VESPERAS, F-34, of Hilo, is currently confined at the Hilo Medical Center in stable condition.

Tyrone VESPERAS, M-38, of Pahoa, is currently being held for the offense of Murder in the Second Degree at the Hilo Cellblock pending further investigation.

As of this date and time, no charges have been filed.
