Stop sign, street signs stolen in North Kohala 12-03-04

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the thief or thieves who stole a stop sign and two street signs in North Kohala.

The signs, valued at about $150, were stolen sometime between October 28 and 31, 2004, in Kapa’au and Kapanai’a.

Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call Community Policing Officer Edward Lewis of the North Kohala Patrol at 889-6540 or the police non-emergency number at 935-3311.

Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept strictly confidential.
