Temporary traffic pattern put into effect for Easter 03-23-05

There will be a temporary one-way traffic pattern on Kapiolani Street during certain hours over the Easter weekend.

In accordance with Section 24-10 of the Hawaii County Code, Police Chief Lawrence K. Mahuna will put the temporary traffic pattern into effect to accommodate Easter season activities at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

Traffic will flow only in the Puna, or southerly, direction on Kapiolani Street between Waianuenue Avenue and Haili Street on the following dates and times.

  • Friday, March 25, 2005, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 26, 2005, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 27, 2005, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

During these time periods, parking will be allowed on both side of Kapiolani Street.
