MEDIA RELEASE

Waimea police are advising residents that for the next week, a private drilling company will be testing a pump at a water well in the Kohala Mountains above the police station.

Police said the Wai’eli Drilling and Development Company of Kailua-Kona has informed them that the testing will be conducted 24 hours a day for the next seven days.

The company told police that it has notified residents in the area that despite efforts to muffle the sound, the test will result in a loud noise.
