…wanted for contempt of court and negligent homicide

Media Release

The Hawaii Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted on outstanding bench warrants for negligent homicide and contempt of court.

Police are looking for 23-year-old Nivan N. Agres. He is described as Hawaiian, 5-foot-8, 150 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. His address is unknown but he is believed to be in the Hilo area. 

Agres was the driver of a sedan that was involved in a one-car crash on Kalanianaole Avenue on January 27. His passenger was killed in the crash.

Police ask that anyone with information on his whereabouts call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
