The Hawai’i Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating possible witnesses to an investigation. According to the victim, at approximate 4:10 p.m. Monday (March 29), he was traveling east on Kawili Street fronting Waiākea High School in a silver Honda Civic when he was confronted by a man riding a black BMX bicycle. The victim reported that the bicyclist approached his vehicle near the intersection of Kino’ole and Kawili streets and provoked him to fight.

Police ask that anyone who may have witnesses the incident call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311 and ask for Officer Kaeo Drummondo. Tipsters who refer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
