MEDIA RELEASE

Fire rescue and police units responded to a swimmer in distress at 12:47 p.m. Sunday (February 6, 2000) in waters off Pebble Beach in Opihihale, South Kona.

Fire rescue personnel administered CPR to a 50-year-old female tourist visiting from Wisconsin and transported her to the Kona Community Hospital, where her condition was listed as critical.
