Hawaiʻi Island police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a 26-year-old woman visiting from Chicago.

Britney Pieta went hiking from a residence in Hawaiian Acres on August 15, 2015, and failed to return.

She is described as being 5’6”, 110 pounds, with long brown hair, green eyes and she wears glasses. She was last seen wearing black pants, a purple shirt, blue jacket and black boots. She also suffers from a medical condition that requires medication.

Police ask anyone with information on her whereabouts to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
