1-04-21 Police Investigating Excavator Theft from Waikoloa Area

Hawai‘i police are asking for the public’s assistance with an investigation involving the theft of an excavator from the Waikoloa area valued at $35,000.

Responding to a reported theft on the morning of January 2, 2021, South Kohala patrol officers determined that unknown suspects removed a 2008 yellow and black-colored CAT 303CR Mini Excavator from an agricultural lot near the 9 mile marker on Highway 190 sometime between 9:00 a.m. on Friday, January 1, 2021, and 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2021.

The excavator features a decal with the letters “T & B” in white-colored lettering on a black-colored background.
