Hawai`i Island police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a person wanted in connection with a burglary investigation.

Between May 29 and May 31, an unknown person entered a business on the 27-0000 block of the Old Māmalahoa Highway in Pāpaʻikou without permission. The suspect’s image was captured on surveillance video.

The suspect appears to me a male wearing a dark, long-sleeved shirt, pants and a baseball cap.

Police ask anyone with information about this case or the identity of the person in the photos to call Officer Randall Hancock at 961-2213 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the island wide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
