Because of the Easter season activities at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hilo, there will be a temporary one-way traffic pattern on Kapiolani Street.

Traffic will be allowed only in the Puna, or southerly, direction on Kapiolani Street between Waianuenue Avenue and Haili Street during certain hours. 

Specifically, the one-way pattern will be in effect on Good Friday (March 21) from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., on Saturday (March 22), from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Easter Sunday (March 23), traffic will be one-way in the Puna direction.

During these time periods, parking will be allowed on both sides of Kapiolani Street.
