Hawai’i Police Department detectives are investigating a home invasion robbery at a home in the Fern Acres Subdivision in Puna.

A 43-year-old man reported that two masked males entered his house Tuesday (June 16) after kicking open the front door. Once inside, the suspects threatened the victim with sticks while demanding money and marijuana.

One of the suspects bound the victim’s wrists with duct tape. Upon finding the victim’s marijuana plants, the suspects cut and stole buds from five plants.

The suspects also made off with an unknown amount of dried marijuana and some cash and coins. The suspects threatened the victim prior to leaving the house.

The first suspect is described as 5-foot-8 with a slim build. He was wearing blue jeans shorts and a white sleeveless T-shirt. He had a black T-shirt around his head and face with holes cut out for the eyes.

The second suspect is described as 5-foot-10 with a medium build. He was wearing black sweat pants, black tennis shoes and a mossy oak camouflage jacket. A dark beanie, with holes cut out for the eyes, covered his face.

The victim was not injured.
