Kona police have identified the body of a male found Tuesday (December 24, 2002) as that of John Adam, 70, of Kailua-Kona.

Adam, who had been missing since December 6, 2002, was identified through dental records, Kona detectives said Thursday.

Adam’s body was found about 5:45 p.m. Tuesday amid some bushes in the old Kailua-Kona industrial area.

Although an exact cause of death could not be determined, police said an investigation turned up no signs of foul play in the man’s death.
