MEDIA RELEASE

The decomposed body of a male was found Tuesday (December 24, 2002) in the old Kailua-Kona industrial area.

Police said maintenance workers found the body in some bushes about 5:45 a.m.

Police said a preliminary investigation has turned up no signs of foul play in the man’s death. They have classified the case as a coroner’s inquest and have ordered an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

So far, police have made no positive identification of the man.
