Big Island Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a Hilo convenience store on Saturday (November 11, 2006).

Sometime between 4:45 a.m. and 5 a.m., the man entered the Kawili Street 7-11 brandishing a knife in each hand and demanded money from the cashier. After the cashier placed cash in a plastic bag, the robber fled on foot heading west on Kawili Street. He was wearing light blue jeans and a camouflage hooded jacket with the hood covering his head. He also had a camouflage bandana over his face.

The man is described as about 5-foot-7 to 6 feet tall with a slim build.

Police ask anyone with information about the case to call Officer Robert Panem at 961-2213, or the Police Department’s non-emergency telephone number at 935-3311.
