In a continued effort to stop the flow of drugs to the Big Island, Hilo Vice Officers arrested four persons at a residence in the Hawaiian Paradise Park Subdivision on Friday (November 5, 1999) for a variety of drug offenses.

Acting on a search warrant, officer arrested two females and two males, one of which was a Mexican National.

Police seized five ounces of “black tar” heroin, marijuana, numerous syringes, a digital scale and $377.00 in cash. The street value of the heroin is more that $28,000.

The suspects are being held in the Hilo Police cellblock pending federal prosecution and forfeiture proceedings have begun on the cash.
