Big Island police are investigating two burglaries in Kona and are seeking information from the public about the burglars.

In the first case, one or more persons entered a home on Keke Street in the Kailua-Kona area on July 27 and removed a 32-inch flat-screen television, three surfboards, an iPod, a laptop computer, jewelry and clothing. The items were valued at $6,440.

In the second case, one or more burglars entered a home on Uanani Place in the Kaloko-Mauka area on July 28 and stole cash, a 37-inch flat-screen television, a 15-inch laptop computer, a digital camera, two iPods, a Wii electronic game device and alcohol. Those items were valued at $2,800.

Police ask that anyone with information about the case call Detective Walter Ah Mow at 326-4646, extension 238, or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.
