Kona Police Seek Public’s Help in Solving Motorcycle Theft 08-14-01

Kona police are seeking the public’s help in solving the theft of a motorcycle earlier this month in Kailua-Kona.

On August 9, 2001, a thief or thieves stole a 2000 Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 from the underground parking lot of the Kona Pacific Condos, located between Kuakini Highway and Malua Road. The motorcycle had a license number of “301 HNG” and was described as a custom model with full chrome.

Anyone with information about the theft or the identity of the thieves is asked to call Officer Sean Smith of the Kona Patrol Division at 326-4646 or the police non-emergency number at 935-3311.

Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. Crime Stoppers keeps the identities of callers strictly confidential.
