Two Arrested in Kona Vice Raid 08-15-01

Acting on a search warrant, Kona Vice Section officers arrested a man and a woman Tuesday (August 14, 2001) for a number drug offenses.

The suspects were identified as Jason Ishii, 32, and Lorraine Angay, 37, both of Kailua-Kona.

They were charged with two counts each of first-degree promotion of a dangerous drug and two counts each of illegal possession of drug paraphernalia. They are being held at the Kona police cellblock in lieu of $24,000 bail apiece.

During the 6:15 a.m. raid on the residence at a Kailua-Kona apartment complex, police recovered 14.8 grams of crystal methamphetamine, or “ice,” 0.3 grams of an undetermined powdered substance, 10 tablets of a controlled substance and $1,031 in cash.

Both suspects were wanted on outstanding warrants for contempt.

Police are continuing their investigation into the case.
