…missing since May 21 …wanted in the child’s abduction

Media Release

The Hawai’i Police Department is assisting authorities from Chandler, Arizona, in searching for a 9-year-old boy believed to be in the custody of his non-custodial father.

The case is listed on the website for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Benjamin Kaiser-Griffin has been missing since May 21. He is described as Caucasian, 4-feet tall, 65 pounds with blond hair and brown eyes.

His father, 43-year-old James Anthony Kaiser, is described as Caucasian, 6-feet tall, 200 pounds with blond hair and hazel eyes.

Authorities in Arizona believe the father and son may be in Hawai’i.

Police ask that anyone with information on their whereabouts call the Hawai’i Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
