Media Release

Big Island Police are searching for a 16-year old girl and her 34-day-old son, who were both reported as missing from their Hilo home since October 8.  The youths were identified as Shelby Perreira and Shelton Perreira. 

Shelby Perreira is described as Caucasian, 5-foot-2, about 144 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone with information on their whereabouts to call the Hawaii Police Department’s non-emergency telephone number at 935-3311, or Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona.
