A three-bedroom house burned to the ground Thursday (September 23, 1999) in the Puehuehu area of North Kohala.

Responding to a 7:08 a.m. call, police and fire personnel arrived at the residence, located near the mauka end of Kinnersley Road, minutes later to find the wooden structure engulfed in flames.

None of the four residents was in the house at the time of the blaze, and no one was reported injured in the fire.
