The Kona Crime Prevention Committee recognized Detective Kenneth Quiocho as “Officer of the Month” for December in a luncheon ceremony Wednesday (December 5) at the King Kamehameha Kona Beach Hotel.

Quiocho was recognized for his efforts in recovering artifacts stolen from a South Kohala resort and thousands of dollars worth of jewelry stolen from a Kona jewelry store.

As Officer of the Month, Quiocho is eligible to become Officer of the Year.

The Kona Crime Prevention Committee is an organization that encourages community involvement in aiding and supporting police in West Hawaii.
