MEDIA RELEASE

Big Island police are looking for a 17-year-old boy reported missing from his home in Kona since January 19, 2005.

He is Joshua James Lapinid. Lapinid is described as being about 5-foot-7 in height, weighing about 158 pounds with a medium build and having brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call the Kona Patrol at 326-4646 or the police non-emergency telephone number at 935-3311.

Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept strictly confidential.
