Police seek Pepeekeo tractor thieves 08-27-04

Big Island police are looking for the thief or thieves who stole a red Craftsman tractor from a farm in Pepeekeo, South Hilo.

Police said the tractor, a Craftsman GT5000, was stolen from the farm sometime between 7 p.m. on Wednesday (August 25, 2004) and 1:30 p.m. on Thursday (August 26, 2004). In addition, a grader and other attachments were taken.

The serial number of the tractor is 2100903B007069.

The value of the stolen tractor and attachments is estimated at more than $7,500.

Police believe the thief or thieves loaded the tractor and implements on a truck and hauled it away.

Anyone with information about the theft or the identity of the thieves is asked to call Officer Vernon Ferreira of the South Hilo Patrol at 961-2213 or the police non-emergency number at 935-3311.
