Public’s Help Sought In Kona Theft 12-15-00

The Hawaii County Police Department is asking the public’s help in the investigation of a theft which occurred on December 10, 2000, between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m., from a cargo container parked at the Liberty house Store at the Makalapua Shopping Center, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.

Approximately $6,200 worth of merchandise was removed from the container. The merchandise included Roxy brand women’s T-shirts and shorts, Quicksilver brand men’s shorts, men’s aloha shirts and houseware items.

Anyone with information that could assist the police in this investigation is asked to call Officer Duane Viloria, of the Kona Patrol Section at 326-4646.

Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 329-8181 in Kona or 961-8300 in Hilo. Callers will be given a coded number and their identity will remain anonymous. Callers may be eligible for an award of up to $1,000 if their call leads to an arrest, indictment, or recovery or property. Crime Stoppers neither subscribes to the “Caller ID” nor does it record phone calls.
