MEDIA RELEASE

Puna police have received two free personal computers — recent gifts from the Bank of Hawaii and Puna Geothermal Venture.

Arthur K. Taniguchi, vice president and manager of the Bank of Hawaii’s Kaiko’o Branch, donated a NCW brand PC to Puna’s Community Policing Program.

And Barry Mizuno, PGV’s financial manager, donated a Gateway PC to the district’s Domestic Violence Unit.

Officer Robert Almeida of Puna’s three-member community policing team thanked the two companies for their public-spiritedness, saying the computers were badly needed and will be put to good use.
