California fugitive arrested for extradition 04-30-04

MEDIA RELEASE UPDATE

A 51-year-old fugitive wanted on an extradition warrant from San Mateo County in California was arrested at 7:45 p.m. Friday (April 30, 2004).

The suspect, Charles Halsey Weeks, was arrested near Pepeekeo in South Hilo.

He is being held in the Hilo police cellblock on three warrants — one for extradition without bail, one for contempt of court with $300 bail and one for failure to appear in court with $300 bail.

Weeks is wanted by California authorities for parole and probation violations.
