Big Island police are looking for a 41-year-old man who was reported missing.

Sumer Keoni McDowell was last seen at 4 a.m. Thursday (September 20) in Ocean View. He was wearing a black sweatshirt and shorts and carrying a bucket and a blanket.

He has a medical condition that requires medication.

He is described as 5-foot-9, about 220 pounds with a fair complexion, light brown shoulder-length hair and brown eyes. McDowell is known to frequent the downtown Kailua-Kona area.

Police ask that anyone with information of his whereabouts call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona.  All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
