The Hawaii Police Department wishes to alert the public to a questionable fund-raiser.

A Big Island resident received a request for a donation to the Hawaii campaign of the Police Officers Safety Association, Inc. It requested payment to a Honolulu address.

Police investigation revealed that the Police Officers Safety Association does not have an office in Honolulu.

Police advise the public not to contribute money to anyone who solicits it in the name of the Hawaii campaign of the Police Officers Safety Association, Inc.
