MEDIA RELEASE UPDATE

Big Island police have called off a search for a 26-year-old man wanted on four outstanding bench warrants after he was arrested on Oahu.

The suspect, identified as Herman Kalani Elderts, had been wanted on warrants issued for contempt of court and illegal place to keep a firearm. His total bail has been set at $2,650.

Honolulu police reported that Elderts had been arrested, posted bail and was released.
