At approximately 2:30 p.m. on (February 4) Puna patrol officers responded to a report of a 10’ X 20’ structure fire located on Pikake Street, Fern Acres, in Mt. View. Upon arrival, the Hawaiʻi Fire Department was working to extinguish the fire. Damages sustained are estimated at $2,000.00

At approximately 5:30 p.m. on (February 5) Puna, patrol officers responded to a report of a residential structure fire also located on Pikake Street in Mt View. Upon arrival, the Hawaiʻi Fire Department was attempting to extinguish the fire, which was fully engulfed in flames, with very little of the structure remaining. Damages sustained to the residence are estimated at $62,000.00.

Both structures were unoccupied at the time of the fires.
