Hawaiʻi Island police have charged the man who was arrested Wednesday (February 8) in connection with a bank robbery in Hilo.

At 4:15 p.m. Thursday (February 9), detectives from the Area I Criminal Investigations Section charged 24-year-old Toby L. Amuimuia of Hilo with second-degree robbery. His bail was set at $50,000.

He remained at the Hilo cellblock pending his initial court appearance on Friday (February 10).
