Kona Community Policing announces its Annual HONOUR Project which takes place this Friday, (March 13).

Friday’s project includes transporting homeless volunteers from Kailua-Kona to the project site at Punana Leo o Kona in Kealakekua and having the school’s staff and community volunteers work together to learn about Hawaiian farming, planting and cultivating by working together to start a Hawaiian garden on the school’s property.

Participants will learn how to plant native plants and the importance of caring for our aina. Community volunteers are welcome to join from 9:00 a.m. to noon at 79-1004 Konawaena School Rd. ( Punana Leo o Kona).
