Hawaiʻi Island Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a 21-year-old female who escaped from the Hale Nani Correctional Facility on Thursday evening (March 12). She is identified as Tessi Paige Koloke Jaize Villanueva, of Pāhoa.

Villanueva was last seen at the correctional facility on Thursday evening at approximately 6:00 p.m. During a facility headcount at 10:18 p.m., it was determined that Villanueva was unaccounted for.

Villanueva is described with a medium complexion, 5-feet-6-inches, 145 pounds, with black medium length curly hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing black basketball-style shorts and a pink shirt, both with “HCCC” printed on them.

Villanueva was in custody for a probation violation stemming from property crime offenses.
