A Hilo man faces a theft charge after being found in possession of property belonging to Hawaiʻi County.

On Wednesday morning (April 27), police arrested 26-year-old Winson Reiong of Hilo on a bench warrant for contempt of court. He was in possession of a two-way radio belonging to a county agency. Police determined that the radio had been missing since April 22.

Reiong was charged with second-degree theft and contempt of court. His bail was set at $5,500.

He is being held until his initial court appearance scheduled for Thursday (April 28).
