Hawaiʻi Island police are searching for a 70-year-old man who was reported missing.

Edmond Rodrigues was last seen in Hilo at noon Monday (May 2). His family is concerned about his well-being.

He is described as 5-foot-9 with an average build with salt-and-pepper hair and a mustache. He has a tattoo of a dragon on his right lower leg and a tattoo of the name “Nainoa” on his left lower leg. He was last seen wearing black shorts and a white T-shirt. He may be operating a 1994 white Toyota 4Runner.

He is also wanted for questioning in connection with a criminal investigation. Police ask the public not to approach him, as he may be armed and dangerous. Instead, anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
