Hawaiʻi Island police are continuing a May 2, 2016 Hilo robbery investigation.

At 6:15 a.m., a 27-year-old Hilo man was assaulted near the corner of Keawe Street and Haili Street and his wallet and cell phone were taken.

The suspect is described as a local male, about 5-foot-10, 125-130 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a yellow T-shirt.

The victim declined treatment for his injuries.

Police ask anyone with any information about this incident or anyone who may know the identity of the suspect to call the Police Departments non-emergency line at 935-3311 or contact Detective Dean Uyetake at 961-2379 or dean.uyetake@hawaiicounty.gov..
