Media Release

The Hawaiʻi Island police department is no longer seeking the whereabouts of Helani Kenui. He was arrested and charged on (May 24) on the strength of a bench warrant issued by the grand jury.

Charges included in the indictment are; (2) counts of Assault 1, (2) counts of Ownership Prohibited, Place to Keep Pistol, Use of a Firearm During a Separate Felony, Criminal Property Damage 1, (2) counts of Reckless Endangering 1 and (2) counts of Terroristic Threatening. Total bail was set at $135,000.
