Media Release

The Hawaiʻi Police Activities League (HI-PAL) would like to thank the Department of Education and Hilo Intermediate School for allowing our participation in their 2020 summer school program.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, HI-PAL was able to conduct physical fitness, car detailing and fishing basics classes to intermediate students while complying with the COVID-19 proclamations and precautions.

Students learned about proper nutrition, exercising techniques, fishing basics and how to properly detail a vehicle. These programs provided a positive atmosphere in which officers and youth could interact and share their concerns and hopes for the future.

HI-PAL looks forward to continuing to work with our youth to build trust, develop character and promote positive moral and ethical values.
