Hawaiʻi Island police are investigating a theft last month from a grocery store in Kailua-Kona.
At approximately 4 p.m. on July 9, a woman entered a grocery store on the 75-1000 block of Henry Street and removed numerous items of food and alcoholic drinks totaling more than $400 and then left the store without paying. She appeared to be in the company of two other women, who are considered to be persons of interest in this investigation.
The suspect is described as “local-looking” woman, 5-foot-10, approximately 170 pounds and in her 30s. She was wearing a short-sleeved black-and-grey flannel shirt.
The first person of interest is described as a Caucasian woman between 5-foot-3 and 5-foot-7, 230 to 270 pounds with several tattoos on her upper body. She was wearing a white tank top and blue shorts.
The second person of interest is described as a Caucasian woman between 5-foot-3 and 5-foot-7, 180 to 220 pounds. She was wearing a red-and-pink-striped tank top and blue jeans.
Officers recovered surveillance images of all three women.
