Hawaiʻi Island police have charged an Ocean View woman with arson in connection with a fire Wednesday (September 2) at the house she occupied.

At 9:20 a.m. Thursday (September 3), detectives from the Area II Criminal Investigations Section charged 36-year-old Emily Smith of Ocean View with first-degree arson and third-degree assault.
