The Hawaiʻi Police Department’s HI-PAL program, will host the “Halloween Havoc #8” 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament in Panaʻewa. This two-day tournament will be held October 24-25, at the Panaʻewa covered courts at Panaʻewa Park in Hilo.

Team entries are being accepted in the following age group division:  5/6, 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14, High School Boys, Girls 10 and under, Girls 12 and under, Girls 14 and under and High School Girls. The age cutoff date is December 31, 2015.

Deadline for teams to enter is October 16. Each team will be required to complete a registration packet, which must be submitted by the October 16 registration deadline.

Teams interested in participating or anyone requesting additional information may call Officer Richard Itliong of South Hilo Community Policing at 961-8121.

In addition to the tournament, the Hawaiʻi Police Department will have information on making Halloween activities safer, a Child Seat Safety Check Point and “Click It or Ticket” information throughout the tournament weekend.
