Hawaiʻi Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 71-year-old Hilo man who was reported missing.

Gabriel DeSilva was last seen on Kupuna Street, near Mohouli Street, in Hilo this morning at 10:00 a.m. Approximately 5’-9” tall and weighing 143 pounds, DeSilva is described as having a dark complexion with medium length hair and no facial hair. He was last seen wearing a green button down shirt, blue jeans and black tennis shoes.

Police ask anyone with any information on DeSilva’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at phone number (808) 935-3311, or dial 911.
