Hawai’i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 15-year-old Mana`o Akamai Ka`aihue, of Hilo, who was reported as a runaway.

Ka’aihue was last seen in the 300 block of Mahi Ko Place, in Hilo, on Thursday night, January 12, 2023. 

He is described as Polynesian with a medium complexion and thin build, 6 feet tall, 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing black Nike shoes, black shorts, with a silver Figaro style chain, and carrying a bright yellow Garfield backpack.
