Hawai‘i Island police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 48-year-old Tonia Smith of Hilo, who was reported missing. She has a medical condition that requires medication and therefore is considered “at risk.”

Smith was last seen on Friday, January 13, 2023, around 1:00 p.m. on Amau Road in Hilo wearing a purple and tan colored tie-dye dress. She is described as Caucasian, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 284 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone with information on Smith’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 or contact Officer Nicole Kanakaole-Ioane at nicole.kanakaole-ioane@hawaiicounty.gov.
