1-18-21 Police Seek Missing 18-Year-Old in Puna

Media Release 

Hawaii Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating an 18-year-old Puna man who was reported missing.

Nitai Strayhorn was last seen on January 13, 2021, about 5:00 p.m. riding a bicycle away from his residence in the Orchidland subdivision in Keaau.

He is described as being approximately 6’ tall, weighing 170 pounds, with tan skin, brown eyes, and black hair. Strayhorn was last seen wearing black shorts, an unknown shirt, a black backpack, and a blue comforter draped around his shoulders.

Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311, attention Officer Roger Carvalho.
