Hawai‘i Island police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 58-year-old Gary Darnell of Hilo, who was reported missing. He was last seen on Friday, January 7, 2022, around 7:00 a.m. on Kalanianaole Avenue in Hilo.

Darnell is described as Caucasian, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 200 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.

Police ask anyone with information on Darnell’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 or contact Officer at Onana Masaoka at onan.masaoka@hawaiicounty.gov.
